DESIGN CHALLENGE - 2018
In order to inspire collaboration between the University of Twente and Renault, I designed a visual concept vehicle for Renault together with design colleague Roland Brugman. The concept should be innovative for 2040 standards, while at the same time it needs to be recognisable as a Renault product for the consumer.
The result is MERLYN, an electric three-wheel city car. It is fully autonomous and lightweight, thus suitable for a sustainable future. MERLYN is a subscription based mobility service. Rides are intended for a maximum of two persons, however individuals will not be seated with strangers.
